Belt Conveyor

Efficient horizontal or inclined bulk material transport across long distances
The Belt Conveyor provides reliable, continuous transport of dry or semi-dry bulk materials — grit, dewatered sludge cake, screenings, and solid waste — over short or long distances within treatment facilities. Built with a heavy-duty structural frame, the belt conveyor is available in flat belt or troughing configurations and can be designed for horizontal, inclined, or declined material transfer.

How It Works

Material is fed onto the moving belt at the loading point and carried continuously to the discharge end. Idler rollers support the belt along its length, while drive and tail pulleys maintain belt tension and movement. Belt speed is adjustable to match the required material flow rate.

Technical Specifications
  • Belt width: 300mm – 1200mm
  • Length: Custom per plant layout
  • Inclination: 0° – 20° (standard rubber belt); steeper with cleated belt
  • Belt type: Rubber flat, rubber troughed, or PVC (food-grade where needed)
  • Drive: Motorized head pulley with gearbox; variable speed drive optional
  • Frame: Heavy MS structural steel with hot-dip galvanized or painted finish
  • Capacity: Depends on belt width, speed, and material
Key Benefits
  • Handles large volumes over long distances efficiently
  • Low energy per tonne — economical for continuous operation
  • Adjustable speed to match upstream and downstream processes
  • Heavy-duty construction for abrasive materials
  • Cleated belts available for steep incline applications

Applications
  • Grit transport from washing to skip or container
  • Dewatered sludge cake from filter press to truck loading
  • Screenings from screw conveyor to disposal container
  • Solid waste transport within plant premises
